Gear evolution …

Starting shooting with my dad’s Minolta XG2 in 1987 (a 1977 camera), I now use a Fuji GFX 100s (as of 2025).

What a journey it was starting with the XG2 as well as many other film cameras, shooting mostly Canon during the DLSR years and since Christmas 2013, starting my mirrorless journey with the X100.

I used mostly every XT, briefly pivoting to a GFX 50s and now GFX 100s.

As my secondary camera I use a Fuji X-T5 which has a Fujinon XF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 R LM OIS WR mounted on it most of the time.

Finally, I also kept the X-T1 with the Fujinon 35mm F/1.4 R as the combination of the X-Trans II with this lens just creates magic pictures and is most likely my favorite camera and lens of all time.

Do I post process a lot?

It all begins with an idea.

Whenever I post process, I just aim to recreate the seen as it was.

I personally wouldn’t ever replace a sky but will always try to remove disturbing object (most of the times, people) from my shots.

I have hobbies in photography

I do have two hobbies in photogaphy.

First one is wildlife which goes hand in hand with landscape and the other one is portraiture which I haven’t persued in years but will try to do more of it again.

I consider not being any good in those genres, so I don’t share on my website but I do on 500px …
