My first ever Digital Camera Shot.
While setting up my private cloud and digging through old archives, I stumbled across something unexpected: the very first photo I ever took with a digital camera, shot of Rhodos Harbour, captured September 2003.
It was shot on a Fujifilm FinePix S7000 — a camera I remember mostly for how much I disliked the experience. In fact, I disliked it so much that I didn’t fully commit to digital photography until 2006, when I bought the original Canon 5D. That was the moment digital finally felt right.
There’s a certain irony in all of this. My very first digital camera was a Fuji… and today, I’m shooting Fuji again. For years, I had completely forgotten that I even owned the S7000. In my memory, my digital journey began with Canon.
